Trey Radel Media Group to Offer Media Training with Two Niche Areas of Expertise

Former Congressman and media veteran Trey Radel is publicly launching the Trey Radel Media Group, an exclusive highly personalized company focused on media training, management and message crafting.

Radel has nearly 20-years of experience across every medium of media. He says, “Given my extensive experience in TV, radio, digital and print, along with my own ups and downs in life, it’s fulfilling to apply my skills and help people.” He adds, “Over the last few months, it’s been it’s flattering to have people come to me, some looking to polish their speaking skills and others in crisis situations, and help them in their time of need.”

Radel’s company will be on the forefront of training people how to prepare for and deal with the media. Radel says, “I’ve been the aggressive reporter with a microphone in someone’s face, and I’ve been on the other end pressed for answers. Whether you’re a political figure, CEO or private person in need of help, we train and prepare you to deliver your best. We help you craft your message, enhance or protect your brand and train you to deliver effective, powerful statements.”

The company will specialize in two highly niche areas. With Radel’s background of extensive travel, work abroad and multilingual capabilities, the Trey Radel Media Group will train non-native English speakers, including ambassadors, foreign dignitaries and multinational CEOs, to manage and message U.S. media in persuasive American-style English. Radel, who served on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, says, “Most Americans, including many members of Congress and the media, have never left the U.S. or learned a foreign language. Unfortunately, that can lead to a lack of patience and understanding. We help non-native English speakers cut through that.”

Furthermore, with the team’s experience in Congress and politics, the company will also help prepare individuals and organizations to present, testify or advocate before federal and state legislative bodies. “As a member of Congress, I noticed that people who testified sometimes lacked a clear message or didn’t know exactly what the committee wanted. We will help people craft their most persuasive requests while maximizing the time of lawmakers. It’s a win-win.”

Radel will spearhead the group which already has clients in Washington DC and Naples. Working with Trey are two long-time colleagues, Matt Pusateri and Matt Hurley. Pusateri and Hurley have diverse yet highly focused experience in speech writing, marketing, branding, traditional and new media, as well as impressive track records in politics.

Radel has worked in every field of media including stints as a TV news anchor and reporter, a radio show host and a newspaper publisher. Radel built and sold The Naples Journal to the E.W. Scripps Company.

Following his career in media, Radel ran for Congress. The underdog won, building a massive coalition of people cutting across generational, ethnic and cultural lines. Radel adds, “I hope what I’ve learned can help others. Whether it’s a crisis situation or a misstep in the media, you’ve got to be able to pick yourself up, learn and move on. Today, I hope to lead others to do just that.”
